Kapileshwar Temple - Amalner

Kapilleshwar Temple is situated at the joint of Tapi -Panzara River. This Location falls on the border of Amalaner , Shindkheda & Shirpur Talukas & also on the border of Jalgaon & Dhulia Districts in Maharashtra in India .
This temple is also knows as "Saptsangam" The history of the temple being stated by the people is that in ancient times, when asceties & saints were used to perform meditation, at that time a cow popularly know as Kapila, regularly come & participate in function.
Once "Mahadeo" came down to earth at the function and the participants were surprised. From then the temple is being called as kapilleshwar.
The temple has been known from ancient times but an inscription was found indicating that in 16th century ,"Ahilyabai Holkar"rejunated the temple.
